'S.H.' (15.1); Druilla's Story
Hi, I'm Druilla, I'm 22 years old and I've been on Seaheart about 6 years. I was born in Portland, Oregon on February 10, 1992. My parents divorced, for whatever reason, in 2004 with my father Gary awarded custody of yours truly, as he had the means of providing a home for me, while my mother, Jean, did not. What can I say, I love my father and I'm grateful for the support he gave me through gradeschool, but I longed for my mother, wherever she had gone. Understand my great surprise and intense joy when Jean came for me in 2007 and invited me to a coffee-house to talk.
OUT OF THE BLUE !! She tells me she's been living on this island-thing called 'Seaheart' in the middle of the North Pacific Ocean and "you'd love it and I want you to be with me there." So we talked-talked-talked for hours and I'm missing soccer practice, but it sounds impossibly wonderful and never having experienced a real adventure except in my dreams, I said I'd go.
Well, I trust my mother, so I crawled out a bathroom window in the middle of the night, met Jean, walked down to the river, stepped into this impossibly small sailboat, the first I'd been on, watched my mom set sail and so began 62 days of sick, scared to death, misery that finally became both indescribable boredom and fast-flying exhilaration.
Well I'm here and I won't say it's been all roses, but Seaheart grows on you and in my letters to my dad, I have no trouble convincing him that I'll never voluntarily leave this island for more than the few weeks of our yearly visit. See, the thing is, were real here, mainlanders on the whole, youre not. We are small, so were aware of all aspects of this paradise, were aware of cause and effect in all issues and we are all empowered to address out-of-balance systems through evaluation, consultation and corrective-action. And for resource material, we have archived 2 million years of human experience to guide us in building a rationally achieved civilization.
It is so cool to be standing on the threshold of a future built not on the bones of history but rather on the best of its concepts.
We think of Seaheart as an island, but really its 3 islands, each inherently autonomous, that is able to satisfy the needs of a civilized society: employment, shelter, food, intellectual stimulation, health, maintenance, education, etc., but each specializing in specific components of civilization. Thus we have SH -1 as Medical: health-care, and juvenile services, SH-2 as Fisheries and Biosphere maintenance and SH-3 concentrating on Administration, higher education and International Studies.
We landed on SH 1, which is port of entry for all newcomers, both immigrants and visitors, who all must undergo batteries of psychological and physiological tests and evaluations.
The greatest aspect of this community is its matriarchal nature. Men are leaders only in positions in which their strength or associated skill and ease of performance lends logic to their dominance. Thus Biosphere Maintenance and Fisheries are run and organized by males although female lieutenants or second officers are a mandatory logical provision.
We abhor knee-jerk responses to any situations and strive to abolish all forms of violence. We cultivate martial-arts in its truest form, that is, the art of defending culture. We find that out here in the ever-changing ocean and sky and wind, there is enough natural violence of movement to satisfy anyone's need for "a fight for survival against the odds". Sailing or wind-surfing, island-to-island, is enough excitement for me.
The concept of SEAHEART is a focal-point of those objective intellectuals that have not yet lost hope of rescuing the evolutionary process of mans civilization from the truly evil empire of the coalition of mysticism, religion, and the military-industrial complex in the disguise of democracy and capitalism.
Last year I joined a study group, islanders who wish to understand the differences between mainlanders and islanders. Well, we watch TV a lot, CNN, LINKTV, ALMANAR, CSPAN, BBC, Al Jazeera and others. We watch an hour or so of programming and then discuss it, recording our remarks and producing an analysis of perspectives and a prediction of real effects . As an example, we perceive that the 'so-called' "terrorists" are more "freedom-fighters" against the monstrous terrorism of the "western democracies".
I think this moment in the evolution of our Seaheart is a proper time to report that certain of our young men, ones impatient with the slow pace of evolution, and wary of the postures of land-based populations and governments, have withdrawn from the location of Seaheart, establishing defensive positions around the periphery of USA, our greatest threat regarding the prosperity and survival of our experiment. At this time, 2014 of the modern era, USA is suffering fuel shortage, general insurrection, tax-payer strikes and general loss of confidence. They are unable to mount any organized strike against our islands ,but, as our intelligence network advises us, the desire is there.
Our Seaheart warriors have stationed units on Clipperton Island, Santa Cruz island and outlying Aleutian islands.
The news is out, just yesterday, that the U.N., based in New York, N.Y., USA, passed a resolution in the general assembly to establish sanctions, both economic and social, against the United States of America until such time that the USA ratifies the Kyoto Protocol, and absorbs third-world debt, as two measures prescribed by the WHO in an attempt to arrest the downward spiral of earth's biotic environment.
This is such a landmark occurrence that we have yet to document our comment in it's regard. In spite of the great amount of temporal good works that the U.N. has done, it has been such a politically powerless body through so much of it's life that we are not sure of its power in this regard.

MEDITATIONS:
"Observing the suffering in all parts of the world was so unbearable that a way appeared to me as a congregation of peoples of all races celebrating the concept that each of us is an incarnate guardian of a connection, a portal, enabling access to universal mind or conciousness, or God, if you prefer, thereby establishing each of us as a unique, proactive partner of inestimable value to that universal being or consciousness. I mean, can you kill or maim your neighbor or anyone if you truly hold them in such regard; better to die upholding the principle of truth than to live as a lying pragmatist."
[Druilla approaches full enlightenment as she weaves, in a tapestry of words, all religions, all peoples, all lands, phillosophy, evolution, all sentient creatures, the cosmos throughout time, with relativity and compassion at its core.]
While cleaning fish yesterday, from the latest catch of our four sail- and oar-powered boats, a question that had been bothering me for years was answered. Meditation has become such an important part of my life that it is always there, bubbling if you will, just beneath the surface, no formality to it at all. Without conscious attention or direction, the query that why, in a logically ordered, causally influenced system as ours, there seems to be little or no guidance or instruction as might be expected from the high level of complexity empirically suggested by the design? was answered: 'THERE IS'; 'THROUGH ZEN (meditation), or vipassana, insightful meditation, as taught by Buddha.
